Once in a while, you see something that is supposed to be funny, and this sure is…but also makes you think more about a serious issue.

The issue is that 200 pounds of pharma waste are generated in the U.S. annually. I recently took part in a local drive to properly dispose of old medicines – and thankfully, there is a national movement to accomplish this task.

Pharma needs to do MORE to eliminate the problem from the beginning. Tomorrow, November 29th,  we are launching the PharmaCares™ web site – it is one of the steps we are taking to help pharma combat this issue AND get needed medicines to the 36 million people who need help, including U.S. Veterans.
